Privacy policy

What this site collects, what sets cookies, and who else is involved when you use it.

The short version: this site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no shopping cart. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. It does not build a profile of you.

What this site collects

Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type into. These are static pages. There is no form, no comment box and no sign-up. The only exception is our contact page — if you email us, we have your email and whatever you put in it.

Your browser sends the usual technical information to whoever hosts these files — IP address, browser, the page you asked for. Our host keeps standard server logs. That happens on every website you have ever opened, and we do not read them for anything except keeping the site up.

Cookies

We set none. No first-party cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising pixels, no session storage.

The map

The map on the homepage is not loaded until you press Show the map. That is deliberate. A Google Maps embed sets cookies in your browser the moment it loads, so we do not load one unless you ask for it. If you never press the button, Google never hears from you through this site. If you do press it, you are visiting Google Maps and Google's privacy policy applies to what happens next.

The booking links

When you click a Book Now link, you leave this site for Viator, who set a cookie recording that we referred you — that is how the commission described in our affiliate disclosure is tracked. That cookie is set on their own domain, under Viator's privacy policy, and we cannot read it. We do not learn who you are or what you booked — only, eventually, that somebody did.

Nothing is set until you click. Reading this site does not put you in anyone's tracking window.

Who else is involved

  • Our web host — serves the files, keeps standard server logs.
  • Google Maps — only if you press Show the map.
  • Viator — only if you click through to a tour.
  • Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools — these tell us which search terms bring people here, in aggregate. They do not identify you and they place nothing in your browser.

That is the whole list. There is no advertising network, no data broker, no third-party analytics.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or somewhere with comparable law, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority.

In practice, unless you have emailed us, we almost certainly hold nothing about you at all — there is no database here to search. If you have emailed us and want that deleted, ask and we will delete it.

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect anything from children, and there is no mechanism by which we could.

Changes

If we ever add analytics, advertising, or anything that sets a cookie, this page changes first and the change is dated. Last updated 16 July 2026.
